I was a born & raised Type-A, overachieving perfectionist. The left-brain world was all that was available to me.
I identified as having zero creativity and zero imagination for a good two decades of my life. I had completely shut down my right brain – art, music, make-believe. My beliefs didn’t allow me to make room or time for these in my life.
And, my “whole self” was suffering because of it. The full breadth of our human experience is available to all of us. If this is possible for me, then it is possible for you too. I identified wholeheartedly with having zero imagination or creativity. I took it as “fact” that I simply was not on artist, or musician, … and yet… I gave it a chance. I allowed…
Find what lights you up. It doesn’t have to have “value” or purpose. It can just ‘feel good’ in the *doing of it*, rather than the result of getting it *done*.
This section is my expression. Me, finally doing things just for the doing *of* them … rather than for some accomplishment, or goal, or achievement. They don’t even have to be “good” – they simply have to challenge my self-imposed limits on who I see myself to be. And, to enjoy the doing of it.
